COCOA BAR TRAY
I had such a wonderful time creating this neutral themed holiday tray! This adorable piece sits in the corner of my cocoa bar in my kitchen, bringing a fun and festive vibe. I'm absolutely in love with the Hearth and Hand tiered marble serving stand; it’s the perfect size! On the bottom shelf, I've placed the cutest snowflake appetizer plates perched upon a cedar candle ring. On the top, I've included a beautiful gold ceramic tree, a small pitcher that holds spoons and a mini gingerbread house that serves as a holder for cinnamon dustings.
This is just one area of my countertop, I’m excited to show you the rest. Stay tuned for that in an upcoming issue.
💡Designer Tips:
Here are three designer tips for creating a fun & festive hot cocoa tray:
Layer Textures: Use a variety of materials like wood, marble, and fabric to create visual interest. For example, place your mugs on a wooden tray, use a soft blanket as a backdrop, and incorporate decorative elements like ceramic or glass containers for toppings.
Color Coordination: Select a cohesive color palette that reflects the season, such as warm reds, greens, and golds for the holidays. Use matching mugs, plates, and decorations to create a harmonious look that draws the eye.
Functional Decor: Incorporate practical elements that also serve as decor. Use elegant jars for marshmallows, cinnamon sticks, and chocolate shavings. Choose a beautiful pitcher for serving hot cocoa, and don’t forget to add a few festive touches like a small ornament or seasonal greenery to enhance the overall aesthetic.
